At The Green Way Solar, we set out to achieve and annually review our Corporate Policy and Code of Conduct. This means we commit to the following in all aspects of our operations, and specifically:

  • We comply with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and codes of practice;
  • We protect the environment by striving to prevent and minimise our contribution to pollution of land, air and water;
  • We keep wastage to a minimum and maximise the efficiency of equipment and reuse of resources;
  • We manage and dispose of assets responsibly;
  • We provide training for staff in accordance with our corporate, social and environmental commitments and within an environmentally aware culture;
  • We regularly communicate our environmental performance to our employees.

Our goals are only made possible by the adoption of a high-quality supply chain that includes carefully selected partners and contractors. As such, the Directors endeavour to deal openly, responsibly and fairly with suppliers and partners by:

  • Ensuring we use the best suppliers for the job wherever possible;
  • Paying on time;
  • Not expecting any discounts to have a detrimental effect on their business.

Measured by our actions

As a business, we are driven and defined by our social purpose and the impact we can have on the world around us. The Green Way Solar was conceived to build a sustainable future for our communities and the communities of tomorrow.

As part of our annual review, we have identified three priorities that underpin our corporate responsibility strategy for the foreseeable future.

Climate action and Net Zero

In addition to our corporate mission of improving residential and commercial emissions elsewhere, we take great pride in our ability to minimise our own. Our role in achieving Net Zero is key to our own corporate responsibility. While we do not currently report emissions, we are driving towards net zero by 2030.

Our onsite work, supply chain and logistics sees us implementing technologies and initiatives that have a direct reduction in our impact on the environment, and align us with the specific and overarching objectives of Net Zero.

Community education

Energy sustainability is everyone’s responsibility. Our actions today are critical determinants of future living standards. Our place at the forefront of practical solar energy provision positions us perfectly to share our knowledge of solar integration in both commercial and residential property development and retrofit.

By investing our time and knowledge in the people who stand to benefit most from our switch to renewable energy sources, we are laying the foundations for their energy independence, happiness and wellbeing.

Commercial integrity

Making good on our corporate responsibility strategy requires us to assess all aspects of our business, exploring our operations and improving our practical approach to corporate responsibility.

However, it is also important to revisit and revise our approach and ethos, considering at all times the products we present to our clients, and services we provide. Our operational effectiveness, compliance and risk management each play a significant role in making sure the entire business is doing its part.
